Peak Medtek Ltd are one of six SMEs who are part of a consortium backing the successful Nottingham Trent University-led bid for a UKRI funded EMERGE project. This will launch the East Midlands as the UK’s ‘Rehab Tech Valley’ to deliver pioneering technology that will transform how people recover from injury and illness.
Through this project we hope to develop partnerships with fellow consortium members, including local universities and NHS Hospitals, Local Enterprise Partnerships, County Councils, and Midlands Engine and take part in research and acceleration of Bide to access the healthcare/rehabilitation market.
Nottingham Trent University has been awarded £2.5 million by the UKRI Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council to lead the project, which is expected to accelerate innovation into health and care pathways and transform how people recover and regain independence and function following injury or illness. The project will be led from NTU's Medical Technologies Innovation Facility
This world-class impact accelerator will connect hundreds of East Midlands MedTech SMEs with health and care professionals, academics and the public to drive the design, development and delivery of pioneering rehabilitation technologies.
