Bide’s bespoke messaging system allows a carer or a loved one to leave a message that is relevant to that person. This enables the device to focus on the areas most likely to prevent a fall, which may be different for each person.
Using unobtrusive light and motion sensors Bide recognises when a person sits up in bed and plays the reassuring message.
The traffic light system also gives a visual aid of a time buffer for the person to properly wake up, their blood pressure to stabilise, their muscles to get ready for use, and for them to better grasp their surroundings.
