Who we are

Dr. Tom Adler

"By launching this fall prevention device, I believe that it will have the potential to alleviate stress for both the user and their loved ones by reducing nighttime falls"

Falling facts:

Tom has been a GP for over 30 years, witnessing first-hand the devastating frequency of fall-related injuries and the significant consequences.

After realising that most technology out there is designed to detect falls, rather than prevent them, Tom identified an opportuntity to help support vulnerable and frail older adults who were at risk of falling at night.

Many falls occur during the night, when older people can feel unsettled or disorientated; this sparked the idea for a unique fall prevention device, discrete enough to sit on a bedside table. Tom brought his vision to life in partnership with his product development team following months of in-depth consumer research, multiple prototypes over two years, followed by comprehensive development and testing.

After the Bide device had been developed the impact of the product could be seen straight away. Doctor Tom finally had a innovative device that he could place in the hands of his patients, providing them and their families with the reassurance that they had been longing for. At last, falls could now be prevented, enabling people to live independently for longer in their own homes.
